Birth to Death in One Word

I was planning to write just a four liner, but then thought of the pattern of writing a four liner for every word a person values highly from birth to death.

BIRTH TO DEATH IN ONE WORD

Birth
Is when one emerges in this earth
But nobody gives it a thought, even a dearth
Though they debate a lot about their after-death berth.

School
When in it, is a dry pool
When leaving it, becomes a career tool
When away from it, regretting that it was damn cool.

College
Sees a reduction in the baggage
Helps one salvage a good image
But if not careful, does a lot of damage

Knowledge
Often gives a person an edge
And also makes one not fledge
When their work, others tend to sledge.

Prize
Tends to bring more happiness if its a surprise
Shows that tall among the rest, did one rise
And makes one work harder and leads to better tries.

Milestone
Is like a ringing phone
Brings one on his feet before the next tone
Or is just a passing sight in atone.

Career
Is what makes one fear
Towards it, one proceeds in top gear
But when failures come, goals tend to smear.

Success
When it comes in excess
Is often graceless
And the happiness it brings, tasteless.

Failure
Has the tendency to lure
The person to endure
And find a way to cure.

Fate
Is not God's rebate
Shouldnt be an object of debate
But in it, man's hope must abate.

Hope
One feels it does nothing but elope
But it clings on to humanity like dope
Always helping clinging people with a rope.

Life
Without a wife
Is amazingly rife
Having no strife.

Death
Is just the last breath
So in two lines have i put forth
Cos thats the length of thought its worth.
