Channa Batura

Well, relationships aren't without hiccups. This was written when my friendship with two of my close friends was at an ebb. The specialty in this is that every line is valid both for channa batura and friendship.

CHANNA BATURA

Friendship is like channa batura
And it has that special aura
Surrounding it, especially the well of heat
All other things it does beat.

Many a person's heart swells
And his mouth opens
Whatever his mind tells
He has lost his sense

Cos he has found something he likes
The person splits his heart like spikes
The initial aura turns into respect
When the person shares his thots in many an aspect.

Atlast, he has found one who has the same frequency
Of thinking and now he in a frenzy
Thinking of it, his mouth waters
At the thot of enjoying the beauty which glitters,

Even in the absence of a sun,
This is gonna be all out fun !
Friendship has the flour base of understanding
And when oiled with passion, it starts expanding

He starts to think the crust,
At this rate, is gonna burst
But as every joyous moment go by, the top gets a bigger thrust
As the air of meaningless talk fills first.

When the dish is ready, it is worth a thousand dime
It is taken to the customer of time
And he looks at it in awe
Amazed at it, as there being no apparent flaw

And then the villainous time starts to eat
Poking a hole in the head from his seat
And suddenly all the meaningless air gets exposed
It seems to be less glorious than what the friendly cooks had supposed.

There comes the doubt and the irritant
That the base wasn't as strong as intent
This leaves an unbearable pause in the proceedings
And brings many a friendship to premature endings

But when time realises that it has to give it a shot
It carefully slices a piece
And along with the spicy channa, real hot
Captivated by its flavour, which never does cease.

The taste of friendship erases
Whatever doubt and sadness one faces
Seeing the awesome structure collapse
Into a flat but amazing synapse.

Every mouthful of it
He reminisces its glory, and passion it again lit
This time more meaningful and glorious
Not juz being a time pass and hilarious.

He realises its value is non-estimatable
And begins to share his true feelings
Now, after the ebb, it becomes more stable
Which gives a satisfaction without any ceilings.

Friendship, like Channa Batura,
Has a beauty rivalling the best flora
But it can wither off in the absence of proper care
So along with the joy, sorrow he has to bear

To make it shape up into a never-ending experience
Regardless of sex or age or religion or any other fence.
It shows that bloated up things needn't last forever
And that he will realise its true worth early, if he is clever.
